Opened in January 2015, St Saviours Nursing Home is registered to provide nursing care to 29 adults over the age of 18. St Saviours, is a purpose built, specialised facility situated within a ten minute walk of the company’s sister home, St. Albans Nursing Home, in Splott, Cardiff.

St Saviours Nursing Home provides complex health care to clients, 18 years and above, with:

  • Challenging behaviours
  • Complex and profound care needs
  • Neurological diseases and disorders
  • Acquired brain injuries
  • Mental illness (functional and organic)
  • Learning disabilities

St Saviours occupies a Grade II Listed building – historically St Saviours Vicarage – and a 20 bed purpose-built extension. The site covers approximately 1858 sq meters and is situated in a pleasant residential area about one mile from Cardiff City Centre in Splott. Public and private transport services are available to residents who wish to go out locally.

St Saviours increases the company’s provision of specialist nursing care to clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours. St Saviours forms an extension of our current business practice, where we will seek to replicate our unique philosophy of care and the clinical values that are so strongly at the core of our business, whilst maximising on the opportunities that a tailor-made, specialised building will create for our clients.

Through the development of St Saviours Nursing Home we have sought to create an environment which, in its flexibility, enables each and every one of our patients to fulfil their potential in a safe and secure setting.

St Saviours is a custom-designed care home, providing us with the opportunity to develop a building that meets the needs of a diverse range of clientèle. Maximising on this opportunity, we have designed the property to better serve the long-term rehabilitation needs of our clients. The ability to provide tailored care in an environment that is consistently effective and specifically suitable in its approach creates an ease of transition for patients as they progress under the supervision of an established staff team in a familiar setting.

St Saviours’ unique design provides:

  • Units of 11 beds, 9 beds, 6 beds and 3 beds for enhanced flexibility
  • 29 bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms to promote client independence and privacy
  • Four bariatric bedrooms to ensure the accessibility and comfort of a diverse client group
  • Flexible design and systems to facilitate provision of enhanced support where required
  • Flexible design and systems to facilitate provision of a ‘Step-down’ unit
  • A range of communal areas that are both encouraging and flexible, enabling clients and staff to choose the range and diversity of social interaction
  • Communal space equating to a minimum of 7sq meters per service user
  • Three separate outside areas for residents leisure
  • Fully equipped training kitchen and laundry to promote life-skills and independence
